It was day 2 of our Diamond Mastermind Event in Costa Rica and we just caught the tail end of a tropical storm Nate. We were going to be out of electricity for the next 2-3 days.
Nate was fast turning into a category 3 hurricane and had already claimed 8 lives there. It was Sunday morning and Pastor Paul decided to conduct a small prayer meeting, mostly to pray for the families who lost their loved ones. I was unable to attend this meeting as I had a photo shoot scheduled at the time. But I was sure glad that we had Pastor Paul in our midst.
When I left for Costa Rica to attend this event, I had no idea I’d run into so many believers there, including a couple of Pastors. It is heartening to know how God’s using His people in the realm of business and entrepreneurship to make a difference.
Pastors Paul & Sheryl Lloyd are from Detriot, Michigan. They’ve been married for over 30 years.
They founded House of Comfort Ministry in 2005 while conducting bible studies at a senior citizen community facility. House of Comfort has since blossomed into an outreach actively conducting and participating in marital workshops and seminars, organizing family value-focused initiatives and directing youth impact events, reaching out to the community at large.
Their passion and deepest yearning are that individuals come to know the truth and experience the empowerment that comes from having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
House of Comfort’s mission is to raise the moral standard of their communities by strengthening marriages and reestablishing family values.
With shepherds’ hearts and a firm commitment to the cause of Christ, Pastors Paul & Sheryl’s inspired vision is to encourage, edify, and build people up both inside and out as they are empowered by the Holy Spirit.

A few days later, on our boat ride, I finally got an opportunity to speak with Pastor Paul and ask him about his entrepreneurial journey.
